Welcome to the group and thank you for sharing your story. It takes a lot of guts and you are on the right track. I'm 23, I just finished college, and I have ADHD. I deal a lot with the impulsivity that u are dealing with. I wish that I could lead you in the right direction to get help for your drug abuse problem...but I'm by far not an expert. I would suggest seeking out a Cocaine Annonymous support group in your area. Support groups are amazing! I know that within Chicago there are a couple ADD support groups and the one I go to is in Naperville. Going off of that, I was just diagnoised with ADHD when I was in college and I found no help with counseling or doctors...rather I found the most help by finding a good solid support group. Medication works for some and it doesn't work for others. I'd personally rather not be on it, but I realize how much being on it helps a lot. However, I hope that with learning new strategies I will be able to reduce my meds and hopefully stop it.
