Chiarians Unite is a dual support group for those who suffer from Chiari Malformation (AKA Arnold Chiari Malformation) and related disorders which include: Syringomyelia (Syrinx)(SM); Tethered Cord Syndrome (TCS); Basilar Invagination (BI); Cranio-Cervical Instability (CCI); tumors of the cerebellum, brain stem and spinal cord; Spina Bifida (SB); Hydrocephalus; Pseudotumor Cerebri (PTC) and Pseudotumor-LIKE Cerebri; Ehlers Danlos Syndrome (EDS); and related connective tissue disorders. Many more “connections” to other conditions/disorders are made each year as the understanding of this disorder is explored and research is completed.

“Chiarians” (as we humbly refer to ourselves) understand what the medical community has yet to grasp – All the intricacies of being a Chiarian and the struggles we face daily! From one misdiagnosis to another – From one pain to another – From one financial frustration to another – ETC. We can offer each other unique support … on daily living, dealing with the medical community, opening the eyes of others, and SO much more!

Our goal is to offer a positive environment for those who have Chiari or Chiari related disorders, for their partners, spouses, children, extended family members, and friends. Come learn something new. Please share your knowledge of life and endearing qualities with others.
