I’m very happy to announce that my special book: “The Stars Within” is almost ready. It’s been such a delight for me working full-time on this book these last 12 months. I went out into the World a year and two days ago to write my quintessential Jyotish-Astrology book. Instead, I found my book.

I mean, I thought I knew what I was going to write about. Instead, in the process of writing, of communicating, and researching, these last 12 months; I ended up finding this book. The Stars Within represents 19 years of my Jyotish-Astrological study. It represents over 10,000 charts that I’ve done over these years.
It also represents over 36 years of Vedic research in the self-improvement or self-development aspect of Veda which, as it turns out is the true purpose of Jyotish as well. “Contained within our charts is not only a clear description of who we are but also a clear description of who we’re meant to become.” (quote from my book)
I’ve divided my book into 5 sections. The first section I call the Philosophy of Astrology. I figured that most people really have only a very incomplete or superficial initial understanding of Astrology. See below for a more detailed description of the sections and chapters.
The second section I call: “Our Charts Fit us”. This is a classic description of all the rules, principles and laws of Jyotish-Astrology. Many of you are already aware of some of the rules of Jyotish. In my book not only do I describe the rules and principles but I use concrete examples of actual people and their charts.
This heart of this book is the research and exact ‘wording’ of over 250 people that I’ve been researching over this last year. A number of years ago I was doing a ladies chart and she was one of those people who likes to talk. I didn’t mind as it was beginning to occur to me there was something fascinating about her words.
All of a sudden it came to me: “Oh, my God she’s speaking her chart!” Out of her mouth, in the very expressions and words she was speaking her chart was singing! Now I realized Astrology is not just a language. It’s not even man made. Astrology is the nature of life.
Out of her lips was coming such a clear description of her chart that could ever be described. The other cool thing was she didn’t even know much about her chart. She was very new to Astrology, had never had her chart done before so I knew here expressions were very innocent.
She did like to talk however, and I knowing the rules and ideas of Astrology, could hear her chart speaking to me! All of a sudden I realized Astrology is in our bones. It’s in our tissues; it’s in our veins, in our hearts, heads, groins, everywhere.
We are living our charts and yet we don’t know it. This last year I spent almost the whole time talking to people about themselves. I knew their charts and wanted to hear in their own words how they experienced themselves. In my book you’ll hear the most wonderful descriptions of the Astrology of these people in their own words.
Astrology is not a Philosophy. Astrology is not, just a language. Astrology is the nature of life. We all live in an Astrological universe. We always have and we always will.
In this book you’ll not only hear wonderful descriptions of people’s charts but you’ll also hear about the real purpose of Astrology. Most people have some idea that our charts fit us. However, very few people understand that contained within our charts is not only a description of who we started out as; but also a description of who we’re meant to become!
The Fourth section of my book is called: “Astrology: the Ultimate Self-Improvement Technology.” It’s all about what we can do to solve any and all of our problems. Not only can our Astrology charts tell us where and when we’re likely to have problems; but in our charts is also a latent understanding as to how we’re meant to get rid of those problems!
Astrology is not only a knowledge of who we are. Astrology is also meant to be a knowledge about our Self-development. If it’s true that all our problems can be traced to our weaker or so-called Malefic planets then the key to life is the ability to strengthen or improve those weaker planets!
There is fortunately an idea in Astrology about Remedies and Remedial Measures. Even classic or traditional Astrology talks about the possibility at least to entertain some prescriptions or advise to help us appease or eliminate any problems we might be having. Unfortunately this aspect of Astrology is the least understood in the World today.
I remember when I first started studying Jyotish. 19 years ago, all the Indian or Jyotish books I read had little hope or encouragement in them. Most of them even, didn’t even describe the chance of fixing or solving our problems. Instead they talked about fate, and pre-determinism.
There was one book I remember which had 200 pages on the understanding of Astrology or Jyotish. 195 pages were all about the ‘How our Charts Fit Us’ phase. Then, at the end, almost like an after thought were 5 measly pages on Remedial measures. Even back then I thought that was a paltry amount.
95% on the Understanding and only 5% on Remedial Measures: Even I knew there was something wrong about that percentage. A few years later I began to realize a more accurate proportion would be more like, 50/50. Spend 50% of your time on understanding your chart and 50% of the time on how to improve your chart!
Now, 19 years later I realize it can be more like 80/20! We don’t need to spend much time on understanding our problems. One brief conversation and I can explain to people why they’re going through what they’re going through. Astrology already understands very profoundly that the problems in our life; the challenges, losses, ill-health, un-employment, grief, suffering are all due to the various Malefics in our charts.
The real need however is to figure out what we can do about it! If we have a Mars problem, accidents, slipping and falling or fights, disagreements and dis-harmony with people; it is good to know the Astrological reason! Maybe our Mars is in the first house. Or maybe our Mars is in the 4th, 7th or even 12th.
There will be an Astrological reason for every problem. But, contained within that configuration is not only a declaration of the reason but a description of the Astrological solution! In other words, not only is our chart or Mars indicative of the problem; but that same Mars is also indicative of our solution!
In other words, Mars needs to be improved. It needs to be either developed, or if too harsh, refined, or if too intense, diminished. The exact needs in our charts too, are contained there within our charts.
In my book I describe not only how our charts fit us; but also what we need to change or improve our stars! This is the greatest insight into Astrology. Not only is there a remote possibility of remedies or remedial measures; but these are at the very heart of true Astrology.
Life is meant to be a growth, a progress and self-development. We’re not just meant to live our karmas but we’re also meant to improve them! The purpose of life is to grow, and Jyotish and Astrology can be a big part of that. I hope you enjoy my book as much as I’ve enjoyed writing it!
