I was referred to a neurosurgeon after having an MRI that shows a
herniated neck disc protruding into my spinal cord. The doctor says
that this is the second most common type of surgery that he does. The
surgery will be done from the front. It will be out-patient. He says I
need no further tests, such as a CAT scan, before the surgery. He is
not sure if the numbness will improve in my hands. I'm going for a
second opinion.
