Just saw the ortho doc who decided that physical therapy isn't
working and it's time to try steroid injections. I'm scared. I had
to sign a frightening release form and my research is turning up lots
of tales of nasty complications. Apparently the ol' c5-6 stenosis
site is the narrowest, thus the most difficult to inject without
problems. Yikes.
Is there anyone here who would warn against this procedure?
Can anyone reassure me that it's worth the risks?
To add to my anxiety, I'll have to have the procedure done half way
across the country(because my employer is out of state and this is a
workers' comp case.) Will have to go thru this w/o support of family
& friends, recover in a hotel room, etc.
How 'out of it' are you after the epidural injection? Will I be able
to drive a car the following day?
The doctors' office and the hospital and my nurse case manager had no
literature to give me about this procedure. I think someone else on
this discussion board said the same thing...she's had to research
everything herself. Thank God for internet search engines.
