After going to regular doc, chiroprator, physical therapy and pain
management clinic for more than a year, I decided nothing was working, so
quit all of them.
I continued to take etodolac (an anti-inflammatory pill) twice a day. The
chiropractor was the last doc I saw (besides my regular).

About 6 months after I quit the docs, I noticed a marked improvement ...
the pain was less and less on a daily basis. I finally was able to quit the
etodolac completely. I have a bit of stiffness left now, but no real pain
in my neck.
Did the last visits to the chiropractor work, but not until six months after
he last "adjusted" my neck? Or was it the etodolac, making the inflammation
less and less as the days went on and it built up in my body.
Anyway, despite what the MRI and xrays said at the beginning of this mess
(about 2 years ago), I am now pain free. I'll never know if it was the
adjustments or the pills. I don't really care.
If the pain returns, I'll take more pills and see what happens. Be happy
for me. I certainly am.
If God really, really loved us, he would have made our saliva taste like
chocolate!
