Hi
I am in UK and have not heard of the injection. My consultant (who
was just like Dr Hibbert off the Simpsons, laugh and all !!) told me
that there is no cure so just live with the pain. He also said in
an off hand fashion, there is an operation but it rarely works and
can make you parlaysed from the neck down.
I guess I dont want that then, was my reply.
I also have been told that I have Carpal Tunnel in both wrists and
Arthritis in many of my joints, right foot being the worst affected
at present.
A work colleague uses magnetic therapy for her CTS so I got heaps of
magnetic wrist bands, necklaces and rings and they seem to be doing
some good to ease the pain. I cannot take massive doses of pain
killers that have been prescribed as the side effects outweigh the
pain relief but small doses take the edge off a bit.
I am 51 and have always hoped for a long life so I think I have a
long time to get used to it. Keep smiling
Val
