I was dianoged jan 05 stage 2a My ob gyn was so freaked out that she
didn't even have the nerve to say that what is was. just told me I
need to go to seattle cancer care alliance. At my reg doc appt I
told him what the gyno said and he retrived my records that had been
sitting on the receptionist(ob gyn) desk for more than a week. It
had already spread to the vaginal wall had 5 weeks of external rad
plus 72 hr 5 fu infusion (3x) and cispatin (3x) then internal rad 5
times one week apart finally a hysterectomy. so far so good I
haven't used the vaginal dilator as often as I should, sex is very
uncomfortable also using estrogen cream, I still bleed due to
thinnig of the walls also still have urgent bowel problems. 6 months
before Ihad gone in to have fibroids removed and there was no
cancer, Ithink that may have activated it . They(docs) knew about
hpv/cancer connection 20 years ago but Ihad never heard or seen
lititure about it until now when they have developed a vacine. my
co worker a pre school teacher died she was dianosed with stage 4
after being treated for stomach problem for serveral months they
said if you make it the first year (80% who are going to die, die
within the first year. the next 20% the 2nd year. there doesn't seem
to be very good data as why someone makes it and why some don't
