I'm 25 and was just got a phone call this morning that my pap came
back abnormal THIS HAS NEVER HAPPEND before. Doctor talked to me for
about 2 seconds, mentioned HPV< cervical cancer, and told my next
appointment, now the woman won't return my calls. I've looked up all
of the above online. And I don't understand, I haven't been with
ANYONE in over 3 years. Where'd this come from, why didn't it show
up in previous paps? What are my options? My mom is telling me all
kinds of things that don't make any sense, and basically (in not so
many words) called me a slut. (been with 2 ppl my entire life and
one I was MARRIED to) Saw where some ppl were told about HPV too,
but since i just had a pap less than a year ago, before the one i
just had a few weeks ago, don't think I'm THAT far along. But how
can this have been DORMANT for so long? If that is in fact the case.
Is there any other way to get this? I saw online where there are
over 100 strains of it, only some cause cervical cancer, but I'm
assuming since my doctor mentioned the cancer, I have one of those
strains? Should I call my ex and my ex-husband and start screaming?
Or what? I just don't understand any of this and am terrified.
