I have been dealing with this for the past 5 years. I have an
abnormal pap and then have to have colposkopys every 3 months for a
year. For a couple of years things were fine. Then last year I
started the cycle all over again. Yesterday was supposed to be my
last one because all my paps and Colpos were normal. But 2 weeks ago
I had yet another abnormal pap. So they wanted me to have another
colpo. I already had one scheduled and had hoped for the normal visit.

Well while I was there they decided that it was bad enough that I
needed a LEEP. It was one of the most horrid things I've ever
experienced. They numbed me but it still hurt. I can only imagine
what it would have been like without the medicine. The doctor really
made me mad too. She kind of made me feel like a number rather than a
patient. That didn't help at all.

Anyway, enough of my rambling. I'm just glad that I found this group.
I also wanted to hear from others about their experience. How many
LEEPs have you all had if any. What was your experience. Did it
change you? I kind of feel like a different person today than I did
yesterday. I think some of my confidence is shot. I'm hoping to get
it back in time but right now I'm a wreck.
