Wow, Lisa, 8 Leeps! No wonder you are tired of things. That is certainly a lot! I'm surprised, though that the doctor has not recommended more aggressive treatment. Are you sure it was stage 2? Perhaps it was CIN II(cervical intraepithelial neoplasia), which is dysplasia, not cancer (but if left untreated can progress to cancer).
Most of the cases that I have read recently, have involved a radical hysterectomy immediately if it was an early stage of cancer, or possibly radiation before surgery to shrink the tumor. Ask for copies of the pap smears-- those reports will give you a lot of information.
It must be really hard on you to have your boyfriend so far away (I don't know where you are but Hawaii is far from most persons). Do you have other supports that are close to you? it really helps to have someone to talk to.
Peggy
(BTW, I'm new too.)

Hello. I am Lisa. I found out i had stage 2 cervical cancer on June
6th. Have had 8 LEEPS done in 5 months. My boyfriend is currently
stationed in Hawaii and considering my health i couldnt go be with
him. I go back for another LEEP Jan. 6th. I am more than tired of
going through this. I have pressured several of my friends and family
to go have their womanly test done so they dont have to go through
what i have went through.
Have a great evening!
Lisa
