Please feel free to write me also.I do answer all my emails, just a little late at replying.I will pray for you and the radiation treatment that it works and nothing goes wrong. I wish I had never metioned that part in my letter. Please don't dwell on it, everyone is different. May God Bless you and keep you safe.Keep in touch.Love and Hugs, Kim

Subject: Re: [Cervical-Cancer] I am new...can someone help me?

Hi,my name is Christine.I am 31 years old.I have a 16 month old son,and I was diagnosed with stage 4 cervical cancer that spread from my cervix to my spine, lymph nodes and my liver. My cancer went undetected throughout my entire pregnancy and another 9 months after that.
It is now 12/04 and I am beating the odds. My type of cancer is inoperable...I am currently on three types of chemo,I have had 6 sessions so far, hopefully only 2 more.Statistically I should not be alive right now but fortunately the tumors are shrinking significantly.I am having radiation on my cervix next month.I am scared after reading that your moms insides were aparently burned badly.I don't know what to say! This has been the hardest thing I have ever been through. There is always hope.I will pray for your family.I feel your pain.I know what you are going through...Every day I fear that I may not be here to watch my baby grow up and how it will effect him in his life to not have a mother.
Miracles do happen and life I said,"I will pray for your mom! Maybe you can also say a prayer for me too."I was never a religious person but these days I do alot of praying.

Good luck to your mom.Hang in there!

First off, I am glad I found this group, but I see it is for only
who have cancer. I do not have it, but my mom does. I have been very
worried about her and looking for some straight answers. Figured if
I joined a group that all know what I am talking about, then I can
get some advice.I am sorry for intruding.

Ok, My name is Kim and I am a sahm to 3 kids.My mom was diagnosed
with cervical cancer 4 years ago. They told us she would have 4
years to live. She started kemo, and radiation which burned up her
whole insides. She had to have a hysterectomy and a colonosocopy.
They told us she would have 6 months. Now, this past New years, she
went in and we were told she had 2 weeks. A terrible thing to hear,
we were planning the worst. She has been hanging on and then
developed an infection and lost alot of weight. Went down to 88
pounds and she is 5/3.She has this pick line that was in her arm and
got infected so they moved it last week into her chest. Along with
that she had her kidneys almost fail. This week, she was readmitted
for bleeding, and they don't know where. She was sent home today and
is on meds to try and stop it. I was told if it doesn't help, she
will then need a blood transfusion. This is all new to me. Can
someone tell me if this is the end? how much longer? Is she going to
recover? I have 3 children and I am so worried about them losing
their grandma, so early on. Can someone PLEASE write me back and let
me know anything. Or what to expect next? Any thoughts and advice
welcome. Thank you, and I am so sorry for joining for my mom and not
myself. Although, this info is for me not her. She has no clue.
Thanks, Kim
