hi. i am new. i haven't been diagnosed with cancer yet, but i have
felt the lumps myself. they are large and i can feel them just
sitting here. my docotors haven't been communicating well with me. i
have had hpv for about a year but after this last pap smear, i was
told over the phone that they needed to do a biopsy. my docotor
didn't even mention those large lumps on my cervix.

i have been researching biopsies since i got off the phone and am
extremely worried. the procedures just seem so barbaric. no
anethesia, punching holes where holes don't belong, extended recovery
periods. it makes me physically nauseous to look at that stuff and
i'm a medical professional.

i guess my main question is, what is the biopsy like? what should i
prepare myself for?
