D, What stage cancer does your mother have? Are they saying she has
the option of the hysterectomy OR radiation? If I had the choice I
would go for the radiation (less invasive). I dealt with pre-cancer
of the cervix for 15 years and was diagnosed last March with stage 3
invasive cervical cancer. I had surgical biopsies, a surgical
staging procedure, radiation, chemo, and two surgical implants done.
My treatments ended the middle of September. I have to say that of
everything the radiation was the easiest. There are some side
effects to it of course, but with all the medical miracles out there
today if your mother makes sure to tell her nurses/doctors whats
going on they can always find something to ease even the worse side
effects! I will keep your mother in my prayers. Take care. Judy
