I'm don't have any info to share with your regarding your medical situation.
However, I do wish you the best. I know that I had my cervix "dilated"
often with a metal tapered instrument many, many times in order to have a
endometrial biopsy. I think that is pretty normal. Good luck and keep us
advised.
Take care.

Subject: [Cervical-Cancer] Hi. need help
Hi.I am a 37 year old woman. I have been feeling sick for a long time
and finally found out I am Hypoglycemic.I've been trying the
Hypoglycemic diet( no sugar, low carbs etc.) for four months but felt
little improvement. I am also Anemic. My Endo said I should go into
the hospital for a three-day fasting test to find out if there's an
insulin-secreting tumor. I have to wait to get a new GP to be
admitted though.
I had also seen a Gyno who said I had endometrial thickening...that
is thickening of the vaginal walls. I went back for her to take a
sample and test for cancer. At that time it was so painful that she
couldn't take a sample. She said the cervix was too tight. I never
had trouble like that in the past. So she said I would have to go
under anesthesia to have that procedure done. In the meantime I was
looking up hypoglycemia insulin secreting tumor on the web. The first
thing that came up said "Hypoglycemia Due to an Insulin-Secreting
Small-Cell Carcinoma of the Cervix". This struck a cord because of
the fact that I had experienced problems with the cervix and the Gyno
mentioned the possibility of cancer.. Does anyone know anything about
this? I can't really understand most of what is written n that
article as it is taken from a Medical journal and is only half an
article ...you have to be a member to read the rest. Anyway, I am
waiting now to see my new GP so I can get on with whatever I have to
do but I am stuck waiting 2 weeks and wondering what could be going
on. I like to have answers to know where I stand, and it's like the
Gyno knows one thing and the Endo knows another and I have no one to
ask if the two are related. If anyone knows anything about this
subject or where I can get more info on it, please let me know.
Thanks,
Sue
