I don't really know what that "high concentration gradient" means exactly,
but it sure doesn't sound like something you want?? Have you checked on the
Cervical Cancer website? They seem to have everything. And yes, you've
come to the right place.
Do you think they said "CONE" biopsy? That is when they take a
"cone-shaped" section of your cervix out and biopsy the whole thing. I had
that done & it confirmed my diagnosis. It can compromise fertility, but in
my case, I had no choice. They knew it was cancer before they did the cone.
I would make an appointment with your doctor to discuss the options. Often
times they do need the cone to do the diagnosis though. But if this is
dysplasia, not cancer, but pre-cancer I don't know if I'd want to do the
cone biopsy. It is a surgery and done as a day patient. I had a spinal.

Hello I am new to the group and I had a pap done on Feb 10 and it
came back abnormal saying I had high concentration gradient. So I
went and had a colosopy (sp?) and biopsy done on Wed. Feb 26. they
called today and said that I still have high concentration gradient
and I have to go to another doctor and possibly have a combing biospy
done. I have no idea what any of this means just that it coudl be
cancerous. I am only 21 and I don't know what to expect here. Has
anyone else had similar experiences or am I in the wrong group?
Please help because I am confused as to what's going on. I don't even
know what questions to ask because I know nothing. Any advice,
thoughts or suggestions would be helpful. Thanks and I hope that
everyone is doing well.
