The rowing machine is absolutely great for cardio and
it doubles as a full body exercise as well. Plus
there is usually no one on them at your typical gym.
Another option is to take a series of 4-5 bodyweight
only exercises and do them one after another in a
circuit. Go through the circuit 4-5 times and that
will work as cardio as well. You can also time
yourself in the circuit to monitor progress.
Exercises can be:
Pull Ups
Inverted Bodyweight Rows
Push Ups
Sit Ups
Squats (no weight)
Lunges
Anything else you can think of will, the possibilities
are endless. Not sure why you can't run so eliminate
anything that would worsen that condition and scale
any exercises to your fitness level.
