hey guys i know this may come as a dumb question but i have the hardest time deciphering b/t eccentric and concentric movement...can you dumb that down for me? give me a practical example of each if you will...like the leg press, chest press, lat pulldown...etc. thanks for your help

Hi Sue.
Concentric is when you are contracting the target muscles during the exercise, pulling down the bar in the lat pull-down, pushing the weights away in the legpress.
Eccentric is when your target muscles are stretching, or relaxing during the exercise, straightening the arms during the lat pull-down, or when you bend your knees and let the weight plate slide back toward's you in the legpress. I hope this help's!
