For the First Place Woman: A pair of Nike Air Max Training Shoes, worn and autographed by Joan Benoit Samuelson. These are personal training shoes worn by Joan circa 1989. She has autographed the shoes on the outside of each heel in red Sharpie. Joan Benoit Samuelson is the 1984 Olympic Marathon Gold Medalist and former World Record holder for the Women’s Marathon. These shoes were acquired through and auction by the Leukemia Society to whom Joan had donated them.
 
 
For the First Place Male: Handsomely matted and framed 2003 Cherry Blossom Road Race Number, Worn and autographed by Bill Rodgers. This is the actual race number assigned to and worn by Bill Rodgers in the 2003 Cherry Blossom Road Race. Bill has autographed the number and indicated his finishing time of 56:40. He also noted he finished first in the 55-59 age group. Bill Rodgers is the four-time winner of both the Boston and New York City Marathons and a member of the 1976 Olympic team. This number was acquired through and agreement between Running Past and Bill Rodgers Running Center, operated by Bill and Charlie Rodgers.
 
A Certificate of Authenticity is provided with each of these special prizes.
 
 
25th Anniversary Wineglass Documentary DVD
Every participant in the Wineglass Marathon and Team Relay will receive a 25th Anniversary Wineglass DVD. The DVD will include some history of the Wineglass Marathon, full course preview, interviews at the expo and marathon, race coverage and finishing footage of every runner, organized chronologically into chapters so viewers can easily find their own finish.
