Hi*
And Welcome to the Group here!

Sorry to hear\read that you had a bad experience with "AFTA"

I was certified by them last Sept. (Nutrition Advisor Certification),
and I had a good experience.

But before I had sign up to take the course, I worte them and asked a
few questions, they sent their answers back witin 48 hours. Then I
did some reseach, had asked around, and they seemed to be a good Org.

So I took the course, and was pleased, sent in the (my answers) test,
they (AFTA), sent me the results with 48 hours, and within 3 weeks I
recevied my ID & Wall Cert.

But guess waht I'm also trying to say is "One," should do their home
work first before jumping in, kind'n like I was reading in Health Mag.
the April 05 issuse (Page 160) about eating *orange peels* and that
they're good for us.

The study was done by the USDA Research Lab, in Wyndmoor, PA., anyway
they went on to say that the orange peel is full of "PREBIOTICS" but
not to be Confused with *Probiotics," wich is found in dairy products.

I did a little resarch on my own and found that Yea!
Orange Peel = Citrus aurantium = SYNEPHRINE

http://www.uni-graz.at/~katzer/engl/generic_frame.html?Citr_sin.html

http://www.supplementwatch.com/supatoz/supplement.asp?supplementId=87

Citrus aurantium;

Description;
Synephrine is the main "active" compound found in the fruit of a
plant called Citrus aurantium. The fruit is also known as zhi shi (in
traditional Chinese medicine), and as green orange, sour orange and
bitter orange in other parts of the world. Synephrine is chemically
very similar to the ephedrine and pseudo-ephedrine found in many OTC
cold/allergy medications and in a number of weight loss and energy
supplements which contain Ma Huang.

Again thanks for joining Us here in the group, and wish You the Best
of Luck!

just me,
Freddie
Great post, Freddie. I didn't know that about orange peels.
