Balance: Help your clients improve their proprioception and neuromuscular integration. The foam rollers can be used to challenge the beginner to advanced client, improving kinetic chain function and overall balance. You can use these balance progressions as one component of your program, or integrate them into your current full body exercise program.
Mobility Sequences: Use the roller to help your clients improve their mobility. Open up the chest/anterior muscles to improve posture and more efficient muscle recruitment of posterior muscles. Use the roller to work the ankle through full ranges of motion, improve strength and flexibility. NASM .3 & ACE .3
Assessment: What do you see when your client moves? Does your client need stretching or mobility; strength or stability? Maybe all of them? How does this impact your entire personal training program design?
Functional Anatomy: Which joints do the muscles cross? How many different ways does your client use that muscle? What needs to be stable to get a good stretch?
Selling Stretching: What are the benefits of stretching and how can you explain them? How to use free stretching demos to build your business.
