The Center of Attention is CHADD of Northern California's bi-weekly
newsletter. The newsletter is designed to keep you up to date with
CHADD of Northern California's activities and updates in the field.
It's a step toward bringing the members closer together.

Summer Book Club! -- Was there a book that really helped you
understand ADD? Clarified issues on medication? Maybe it gave you
an organization tip that worked? A parenting technique that solved
bedtime battles? Or perhaps a passage that let you finally stop
blaming yourself? Please bring that book and share it with others at
the meeting, and pick a paragraph to read out loud if you'd like.
You'll go home with lots of good information and a list to take to
the library or bookstore.

New Parent Group in East Contra Costa
We are about to start a CHADD parent support group in East Contra
Costa. Colleen Ruddock has been working hard to make this happen. The
likely location is at Sutter Delta Hospital in Antioch. If you are
interested in helping get this started, or want to attend, please
contact Colleen at (925) 757-2372, or by e-mail:
cutiecol@.... We hope to begin for September!
SF Women's Reading Group is open for new members again
The women's reading and support group has been meeting for 2-1/2
months, using Sari Solden's "Women With Attention Deficit Disorder"
as a foundation for discussion. The group will end the first week in
August and a new group will begin in September. See the Northern
California CHADD website for more information. If you have questions
and/or would like to be put on the waiting list, email Kali Grosberg

There were gratifying affirmations of dedicated leadership and a
robust interest in getting involved at every level this year. The
