Hi Everyone, My Name is Leah. I have been diagnosed with with epilepsy since 2002. I developed Intractable Epilepsy from a Car accident in 1997. I suffer from Complex Partial Seizures with the occasional Grand Mal. In October 2008 I underwent a Right Temporal Lobectomy at Legacy Good Samaritan Hospital in Portland, OR. And Since that time I have had 9 seizures. I don't think I would change my mind about surgery or go back on my decision to have the surgery for anything in the world. It was the best thing I could have ever done. I am still on the same medication I was on before Surgery with a little increase in dosages.
The Reason I joined this group is so that I could meet other people in the area with Epilepsy. I live in a Small town and there is no support group here for people with Epilepsy.
