Hi Daphnie,
So sorry this is happening to you. It's my 14 y.o. daughter that has the seizures. Where are you located? Is your doctor a neurologist, or an eleptologist? My advice is to get a good doctor and follow their directions. You really won't know if youre going to have anymore seizures until you have them.
Personally, and this is just my opinion, If I had 2 seizures since 1/2, I would wait it out and see if a 3rd one comes. If it doesn't, great. If it does, consider the medication. I don't know what CDL rules say about seizures...I would imagine they're more stringent, but perhaps if you can be seizure free for an amount of time, you can drive again.
If you're diagnosed with Epilepsy, get in contact with your local Epilepsy Foundation (the national one is www.efa.org and then you can link into more local organizations) and educate yourself. There's a lot to know.
Keep in touch!
Sue

diagnosed with a seizure disorder. I am 43 years old. Why now? I have
had 2 grand mal seizures since Jan 2nd. All of the tests I have had
have come back normal. The Dr. wishes me to take medication that I am
hesitant to take and haven't even tried to take it. Really I would
rather have seizures than take the medication.
I find myself intensely depressed and alone. I have lost everything in
the past 6 weeks. I was a commercial driver for a living prior to this
event. I am lost. If there is anyone who can shine some light on this
darkness I would be in debt to them. I look forward to finding peace
with this.
