First our pediatrician recomended this Neurologist because he
specializes in Ped's. The the Doctors at Doernbecher also agreed he
would be best to continue with because he is local and could provide
immediate help and hospital services if needed here in town. They
said they work with him alot.
I am willing to give him a chance once we have a frank convo about
getting questions answered in and effecient and direct manner. Also,
if his assitant is going to handle the calls I will need her to get
it right.
My biggest immediate concerns and the those that I think need a more
timely aproach than I'll talk to you in 2 weeks is
1) If my daughters white blood cell count is seriously low as they
indicated should I take other precautions to avoid her getting sick
etc. I'm goin to talk to her pediatrician on this one.
2) Are these 10 minute seizures generalized or complex partial? Do I
treat the complex partial the same as a generalized since the only
difference is her partial awarness? How many of these complex
partials should be allowed before calling it a cluster and calling
911?
These seem like basic questions that any competent Doctor would be
willing to give answers to. Not I'll talk to you in 2 weeks when we
are having a lot of seizures and some pretty long ones IMHO.
