There may not be a "cure" but with the proper meds, hopefully the seizures
can be better controlled. My step-son told me a few years back that it
wouldn't get any better than it was. Well, at that time, he was having a
really nasty time with seizures and I said "I won't give up trying"! It's
been 5 years of trying different meds and with the last increase in his
felbatol, we're hoping they'll be even better than they were!
He's leading an almost normal life now, so much better (and happier!) than
one could ever hope. He's out of the dark hole he was in and I'm convinced
that even though he might have not been having an evident seizure his brain
was so scrambled that his thoughts were confused and murky and he was living
in a fantasy world, not knowing what was real and what wasn't, not being
able to function normally even mentally.
There's still some mental difficulties and I wouldn't trust him to live
alone, but they're so much better than they were! We're fortunately he's in
an excellent adult family home.

hey there isn't a cure all for this. one thing that helps is to just
be patceint. also to let them try and be normal.
