Re: [Cent_Wa_Epilepsy_Support] medical ID

There's totally a market for it, especially for kids and ladies.  My husband wears an ID that is put on a sports band because he hates the metal and needs it to be tough to break.

There are a few places online that sell them or some verson of fancy ID bracelets:

You might even be able to "market" locally to hospitals or clinics.

Hi Everyone.

This comes on the heels of trying to get spammers and junk ads out of
our group, so I swear I'm not making a sales pitch! I'm just looking
for opinions. =) I'm taking kind of an unofficial poll about
medical ID bracelets. I wear one because I think it's important, but
I also think it's ugly. I know how to make bracelets by doing bead
and wire work, and am planning on taking my existing plate off the
chain it's on and replacing it with a prettier bead bracelet. That
got me thinking that maybe there might be a market of sorts for this
type of thing. I haven't seen anyone else selling them, and I've
been looking around online. I've been trying to figure out a way to
make that work, so am doing some research. Do you think you, or
someone you know would wear a medical ID if it were more attractive,
maybe even have interchangable bracelet parts, and can even be custom
made with beads and colors of someone's choice? They can be made any
size, childrens and adults. I think I can do this in a cost-
effective manner and still keep them affordable. I'm also trying to
decide if I should leave them blank, or find an engraver who would do
the work for me...there are so many variables, and before I jump in,
I wanted to know what anyone of you thought. Your feedback is
appreciated.

Thanks!

Lynn =)

Thank you, Rachel for those links. I had been looking online and hadn't come accross those yet. I wonder if it would be worth it for me to try to compete...

I think it's a great idea. I just got one for my son, who is 21. It says "seizure disorder" it was the only one I could find close but I wanted him to have...
