Hi Emily,
I don’t have seizures but my 20 year old son does and
before he was diagnosed I know that he was really depressed. He was having them
at night so we didn’t realize he was having them for a long time. He got suicidal
before we realized was going on so I think depression is normal, at least it
was in our case and he is extremely tired afterwards. I’ve been told that
during a seizure you tense every muscle in your body so I guess it’s like
a full body work out so that would explain the tired or it did to me.

[Cent_Wa_Epilepsy_Support] Hi everyone
Hello there! I'd like to say that this is a great way
to feel better about my epilepsy: knowing
that there are others out there like me. I had my first seizure in June of this
year, and
another one two weeks ago, at work. Then another one this past thursday. Is it
normal to
feel extremely depressed after an episode? And is it normal to be exhausted
afterwards?
I'm on Lamictal and have been for about 5 weeks now. I'm almost through the
starter pack.
I feel horrible every time I take it...I know that I need it but does that get
better?
Thanks for letting me bend your ears.
