Hi Candy, My name is Carol. I am so sorry I did not
get to this email earlier for you. Candy, believe me,
I know how alone you feel because I have been in your
shoes. We as mothers feel so hopeless sometimes. I'm
sure it is very difficult to see your child go through
a seizure, and more than once in a week. My daughter
is now 29...her seizures didn't start until she was
19. So we have been through 10 years of hell....tried
different medications for years. However, just about
two years ago Juli had a Vegas Nerve Stimulator
implanted in her for the seizures. Candy, this has
been a miracle..........she has not had a seizure in
15 months. She still also takes medication, but the
doses have been lessened. We are now working towards
driving....which is scarry. I put my trust in God to
watch over my daughter. Candy, your little one is so
young. My heart reaches out to you in how you feel.
I know that when we see the seizures it just breaks
our heart and yet all we can do is be there for them
when they come out of the seizure. As you know, when
our kids suffer a seizure it seems like eternity. I
too, use to feel all alone in the world going through
this. I could not find any support groups in my area.
Candy, you are not alone...I'm here any time you would
like to talk. My heart goes out to you. Stay as
strong as you can....I know there were many times when
I cried my eyes out all alone in my bedroom. Hang in
there. Contact me anytime you would like. I really
do care about you and your child. God Bless
