Hi Rachel... I saw your posting on the Care to Share listserve and
thought I should introduce myself. My name is Christine Horvath and
I am a pediatric occupational therapist with an advanced masters
degree. I am SIPT certified and have specialized in providing
treatment from a sensory integrative approach for over 15 years. I
have worked in hospitals, schools, and early intervention. I used to
own a private clinic in Massachusetts before having to move back to
the NJ area. I also have done numerous presentations to parent
groups and school districts on various topics related to sensory
integration. Currently I work part time at Somerset Children's
Treatment Center in Bridgewater, NJ as well as do Early Intervention
work and private contract work. Many of the parents on the listserve
are or have been clients of mine so feel free to use them as
references or if you would prefer I would me more than willing to
share my resume. I would be more than happy to talk to you about
your child as I have plans to begin work down in the Brunswick area
come the new year. If I am not able to help you for one reason or
another, once I know a little bit more about your child I may be able
to refer you to someone that can.

he needs to see a neurologist.  His pupils are dialated and he is
telling us he is hot and it seems his heart is pounding..

We saw one when Kyle was 15 months but I am not confident that he will
do a work up on Kyle and not refer us to someone else.  Unless that is

They were helpful when my daughter was younger and
wore orthotics. They knew which sneakers and shoes
were lightweight, had good grip (not slippery), etc.
I think Stan's daughter might be a PT, but that's
going from my rusty memory.

Welcome to Bridgewater.  I use Stephanie Levine of
Somerset Pediatric Group.  The group has an office in
Bridgewater.  I travel to the Bedminster office (which
would be about 15-20 minutes away for you, vs. 10 or
so for the Bridgewater office).  She does not claim to
be an expert on autism.  She is great about writing
whatever letter or prescription needs writing - for
PT, OT, etc.  They have 7 day a week sick
appointments.  It's a huge practice.  Of course for
sick appointments, you get who you get.  You can ask
for someone, but you are going to get who is working
that day.  When I approached her about a different vax
schedule for my daughter, she was supportive, and has
continued to be as we go.  The staff in the Bedminster
office is lovely  as well.
