Hi Robyn, I have had scoliosis since I was a kid. I believe it is
pretty common with CMT. When first diagnosed the doctors told me I
would never be able to lift anything heavy or do any strenuous
activities. They were wrong. Also have lower back pain and am very
sensitive to what I sit and lay on. One weird thing with the back
pain is most chairs will bother me but when I go into the woods for
deer hunting I will sit on the ground and lean up against a big tree
and have no pain at all. Even if I sit there for a couple hours
there's no pain. Never figured out why.
Have fun educating that doctor!!
