CJCAT (Community of Japanese Creative Arts Therapists) is designed to provide a space where the depth communication between Japanese Creative Arts Therapists and other mental health professionals takes place. Professional Creative Arts Therapy fields include: Art, Dance, Drama, Music, Poetry and Psychodrama. Founder of CJCAT, Toshiko Kobayashi, realized that there is a strong need of strengthning the professional connections among Japanese Creative Arts Therapists at American Art Therapy Association conferences (in Washignton DC 2002 and in Chicago 2003). Toshiko and the co-founder of this group, Megu Kitazawa, invite an open discussion regarding Creative Arts Therapy in relation to Japanese culture and/or simply exchange information that we can share from our professional realm.
