Welcome!
The Connecticut Herb Association, Inc (CHAI) originally sprouted as a club in 1995 from a desire to educate and share the world of herbs throughout our community, and to create a network of herb-related resources. CHAI serves as a forum for exchange on matters of importance in the herbal community such as herbal therapies, research, education workshops, growing, retailing, wildcrafting, herbal supplies, and environmental, legal, legislative concerns impacting herbalism.
Whether you are a practitioner, novice, student, grower, educator, shopkeeper or earth lover, CHAI welcomes you! Your support will strengthen herbalism as a viable option and complement to mainstream approaches to personal and global health and wellness.
CHAI hosts events around the state most every month of the year, including presentations by members and guest speakers, or a visit to a shop, garden, farm or wild place where we can share together the wisdom of all things green.
Membership in CHAI is for anyone who wishes to nurture the world of herbs in their lives. When you join CHAI, you will receive a directory so that you can begin to connect with others of like mind and heart around the state. You will receive notice of events as well as our quarterly publication, The Connecticut Thymes. As a CHAI member you may support the organization by leading or participating on committees or council. For more information, contact Pam Quayle, Membership Chair, at herbgathererct@yahoo.com.
Membership to CHAI is $25 per person annually, payable in June. Membership to this eGroup is free! For a membership form, please visit our official website: www.ctherb.org
