This group is to help educate the public about Lyme disease and other tick borne diseases, especially those diagnosed with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and Fibromyalgia. Lyme disease is now epidemic throughout the world and is very difficult to diagnose and treat due to the ignorance and politics of the medical community and misinformation.

This group is meant to be a sympathetic and informative group for those who want to learn about a very REAL possibility. Lyme Disease is most often misdiagnosed as CFS, FM, Alzeimers, Multiple Sclerosis, Lupus, etc. Lyme is called "the new great imitator" for this reason. The group owner was diagnosed in 1996 with "classic" Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and Fibromyalgia. In january 2001, she accidentally discovered that long term antibiotic treatment helped her. After some research on her own and talking to others with Lyme, this led to finding an educated physician and the correct diagnosis of Lyme disease, Ehrlichiosis, Babesiosis and Bartonella henselae infection... all tick borne diseases. Subsequent treatment lead to unexpected improvement in symptoms and continues to do so. Her friends with CFS and FM have also discovered that Lyme is the cause of their symptoms.

This group was born out of a desire to help others in the CFS / FM community who continue to suffer from Lyme Disease and may not know it.
