Hi Everyone,

Welcome to the new members.

It has been a while since I last posted to the list. I hope that the
holiday's contained some hallmark moments for all.

Since I've not been too good at moderating the list lately, I've set
the list to unmoderated. I had initially set the list such that new
members were moderated and then after their first post I would set
their status to unmoderated. This was primarily to prevent the random
spam posting. There hasn't been too many of them. So, to compensate
for my slow response at times, the list is now set to unmoderated.
Feel free to post to your hearts content, but please try to stay on topic.

I've got about 10 research articles related to the application of
thermal therapy that I will try to assemble and post to the Soapbox
section of the website. Very interesting work; Done by medical
doctors and published in peer reviewed journals. What is most
interesting are the studies that monitored physiological responses to
the thermal therapy. I can't understand how anyone could read their
findings and not think that there was benefit to this modality.

I am making some changes to the suggested use of FIR for those that
are willing to prove the program for themselves. One change, as far
as the application of FIR, will be modified to be similar to how FIR
was used in these published trials.

I emailed the author of one of the papers but have not recieved a
reply. I've found the email address of another principal
investigator. I'll send him an email. I have a few questions
pertaining to why they used the FIR sauna in the manner that they did.

I will be contacting the few people that I think may still be open to
trying it to see what their current status is, whether they are still
up to giving it a go.

I'm frustrated that I don't have the financial means to do more. The
bulk of my time is now spent at work, computer sys admin. One benefit
of working at the school of medicine is that I am able to attend
presentations given by researchers, related to a variety of health
studies.

Usually when I get off work I don't feel like doing much but veg out
watching a movie. There has been some increased interest in getting
FIR heaters but mostly I suspect from people trying to find an
alternative to the high cost of gas to warm their home. My private
revolt against the local gas company, I've set my thermostat to 55
degrees. Last months gas bill, w/ thermostat set at 55, was $85.
I've now set my thermostat to 45 degrees. At 55 the furnace would
turn on a couple times during the night. No more of that. I use the
FIR heaters in the areas that I spend most of my time, living room and
bedroom. Electricity is cheaper than gas. There are people in the
area paying upwards of $200 per month on gas. Nothing like having
hard earned money go up in hot air :)

The other day I got up at 4:30AM and traveled to Odgen (50 miles north
of Salt Lake City) to a manufacturer of heating elements. I was able
to get a few items to experiment with to see how I can improve the
design of the heaters that I will one day sell. Which will not be
until there is enough interest. Maybe next year more people will tune
into this modality and be willing to wait.

My goal was to prove this modality. AS far as I'm concerned, it's
proven. But must be used within bounds. Acceptance by those that may
benefit from the modality is something else.

If you already have a fir sauna device and want to give the program a
go, email me.

All the best,
Jim

... I would like to also. I've already got (had for a while) a microwater device, but I'm still waiting to hear back from on the Heaters. I'm ready to order,...

No response... Jim? If you aren't selling the Heaters, I'd appreciate a pointer so I can order them myself. I don't mind not getting the discount for bulk ...
