I have no connection with any of the financial institutions
here; nor with The National CFIDS Foundation. Though I am a long time
admirer of that association. Their research is some of the best and most
relevent,
in my opinion. None of the staff is paid and they and their volunteers all
have ME/CFS. One could say they have very personal reasons and are highly
motivated to find a cure.

Dear Friends,
Your holiday shopping can aid research! Every penny donated to The National
CFIDS Foundation funds research. Make your gift purchases help research into
CFIDS/ME.
"Adopt a Candleholder for CFIDS Research" are sturdy glass cylinders that are
decorated with glass nuggets and have a votive candle inserted. Each one is
unique and the person who orders them can choose their own selection of
colors
used. Some new ones done have been done in oranges, lemon yellows, and lime
greens and called "Citrus Twist" while a black and white one with a moon face
is called "Twilight Zone". One-third of each candle's price is donated to
research and the unique candles are made by a patient. They make original
gifts.
A medium one is $12.00 plus $5.00 shipping (U.S. only) and the large one is
$15.00 plus $6.00 shipping.
To adopt a candle for CFIDS Research, contact Audrey Sparkes at 34 Parker
St., Bangor, ME 04401-6208 and include your favorite color combination.
Audrey
can also be contacted by e-mail at audstar@... (put "CFIDS
Candleholder"
in the subject).
All shopping online can benefit CFIDS research by shopping via iGive.com and
telling them you want a percentage to go to The National CFIDS Foundation.
Thus far, over $1,000 has gone into funding research via this site. New
stores
include Strawberry.NET and Cingular Wireless while larger donations are being
offered at Magazine Promotions and 123 Inkjets. There are sales and coupons
at JC Penny, Home Depot and Overstock.com.
Thank you to all who continue to help us to fund research!
