Hi all,
I really need some emotional support. I work part-time in San Francisco, so I trek there. I live on Adams point in Oakland. It is very difficult to get what I need, for stores are like a mile away. As you know, energy is a comodity that most dont understand.....Through this illness friendship is hard to come by. I push myself everyday, most of the pain happens at night, so insomnia is difficult. So far my job has been accommodating.
I have been bed ridden myself so I understand what most are talking about. I work part time to accommodate my mind and it seems to be working, keeping the body moving........I am very unsettled about my weight carrying this extra load around. Through stress and depression of not working I gained the weight I lost.
I look forward to any input. I have wondered often how in public I feel like I force people to talk to me. People are so reluctant to allow people into their lives....People we must reach out.

I just wanted to add my voice of welcome to you Ariyele. I can related to all of the issues you outlined. There is a lot of loss to deal with especially in the early years (I'm told). I've been sick for almost 2 years.
I'm in Oakland too and also feel quite alone in all of this.
Dawn-Where in Oakland are you?
I'd be interested in attempting to get together for tea. I'm mostly housebound but can get out on occasion.
Terri
