CCI Kids and Young Adult’s Group is a sister group to Chiari Connection International (CCI). This group was created for kids and young adults who suffer from Arnold Chiari Malformation and related disorders. Related disorders can include: syringomyelia (SM); basilar invagination (BI); cranio-spinal instability (CSI); intracranial and intraspinal cysts; tumors of the cerebellum, brain stem and spinal cord; spina bifida (SB); hydrocephalus; pseudotumor cerebri (PTC); Ehlers Danlos Syndrome (EDS); and various connective tissue disorders. And possibly some not yet even discovered! We are here as a group to provide information and support throughout your journey with Chiari Malformation and related disorders. We recognize how difficult managing school and a social life can be while having a chronic illness. Feel free to talk and ask questions about anything, we are here to help. We will only have members from childhood to age twenty-five. Once in a while, we may have a Chiari expert stop in to answer some of your questions that you may have. We look forward to hearing your story and getting to know you better.
