Hi Becky!
The twins are 10 years old going on 25! Young enough to not like boys
still! Phewww! Man do I dread that whole part! LOL! Do you have other
children as well? We "risked" it and had one more, a boy. He's 7 and
unaffected by CAH, although he has some freak behavioral problem called
seven-itis! LOL!
Are your twins identical? Mine are and have pretty much remained the same
with everything. Their med doses are the same and all their levels have
remained pretty much the same as well. (Thank goodness for small miracles! I
don't know if I could handle remembering two different everything! LOL!)
Well I hope everyone had a terrific Halloween. We're working off a
sugar-high as we speak!

Subject: [CAHsupport] Endocrine tests
The clonidine stimulation test reminds me of the one for CAH when a baseline
blood is drawn, then medicine given and then blood drawn after 30 minutes, 1
hour, etc. to see how your body responds. We have had the bone age x-rays too.
Right now one girl is measuring as the bone age of a 10 year old, though she is
12. The other twin had her x-ray yesterday, so I've not heard about it yet.
Traditionally, hers has been more delayed. The "problem" is that they are on
target in regards to puberty, making it less likely that the lower bone ages
will give thim the extra time to grow that we had hoped.
Thanks for your response to my questions. You're right about sometimes
feeling alone out here.
How old are your girls?
Becky
