Re: A Good Doctor

Hi Becky,
Well if you're going that far, I would tell you to go to Boston and see
Dr. Aleene Ricker. She was in NC when I saw her and is supposedly one of
the best on the East Coast. (I personally loved her as the girls' doctor.)
It does seem a shame that you haven't had much luck with local doctors
though. I know the girls see theirs every 6 months at this point and 2
hours away is a long way for us. (I do love the team we have now in Salt
Lake City though. Although Tami tells me there is a new doctor up there so
I'll have to see. October 29th for us.) I assume you've checked with the
local Children's Hospital. I will drive forever to get to one of those, I
seem to have the best luck there. And I know it's a pain, but teaching
hospitals are great as well. (Or at least I've had good luck there.) My dh
is in the military so every 3 years or so we're looking for a new doctor,
and it's difficult. When you find a good one you never want to leave again!
Maybe you could get in touch with the MAGIC foundation and see if they have
any suggestions for you?
On that note, did anyone go to the MAGIC convention this year? I
swear, one year I'm going to go! I hear it's very informative and fun, even
for the kids!
