Welcome!

Hi everyone!
Welcome to all our new members! I hope this site will benefit all of us,
whether it's our child(ren), ourselves, or our spouses that are affected by CAH.
We have a wide range of experiences to share with one another and I hope we all
decide to take advantage of it. Whether you decide to sit back and watch or
actively participate in discussions is, of course, your decision. If you are
not comfortable talking about certain aspects of your life or the disorder
itself, we are still happy to have you here. As for myself, NOTHING bothers me
anymore about this topic. It is a fact of life and there is NOTHING embarassing
about it (with appropriate company). So feel free to ask me anything! I might
not know the answer, but ask away! LOL!
Anyway,.... Diane, can you explain to us what precocious puberty is
and how it is different from CAH? I'm unsure of that myself. I was under the
impression that precocious puberty was a side effect of the CAH when it wasn't
under control, but now I'm questioning that. I'm glad to hear that your son is
finally doing well. I think you'll find from now on that pediatric doctors are
all hesitant to deal with you. First you have to give them the lesson, then
they don't know what to do for you. But every once in a while, you run into one
that surprises you. Just recently my daughter went in with pneumonia. We are
military so I took her to the base hospital and was pleasantly surprised by
someone who took time to listen, called my endo., and even stayed after work (a
rarity! believe me!) to make sure she was going to be okay! Love him, to say
the least!!! LOL!
Well I've rambled on enough. I hope to hear from you all out there!

Angi
