Re: [CAHsupport] Digest Number 67

FYI-  Cortef comes in 5 mg tablets.  They can be easily cut in half and administered like the florinef.  In case you have problems with the prednisolone ( I have no experience with that), it is good to know that this is available as well.-

Yes we have been shown the injections and have some here. But we do
not have cortef it is Hydrocortisone Sodium Succinate. She is doing great so
far. She had her first check up today and has gained almost a pound since
leaving the hospital on the 22nd. The doctors said she takes prednisolone
instead of cortef because they stopped making it in liquid form and the big
pharmacies around here don't want to mix it. So that is why she only takes it
twice a day rather than three times. I asked about that today. I am starting
to get more comfortable with everythng but I'm sure I'll be a nervous wreck
the first time she runs a fever. If I have learned anything though it is not
to wait to hear from the doctor. Trust my instincts and go ahead and triple
it if in doubt. And thank you for telling me what LOL means I see it
everywhere!
Well thank you again,
      Jenny
