Hi! I just wanted to introduce myself since I just joined this
list. I am a stay at home mother of two beautiful and wonderful
children, Zach--who is 3--and Jessica--who is 1 and was diagnosed
just 3 months ago with mild-saltwasting CAH. It has been quite the
journey these last few months, but we are mostly just happy to know
what was wrong with our baby, as we had to really put up a fight to
go see the right doctor's who diagnosed her. She is now recovering
from some surgery she just had a week and a half ago (feminizing
genitoplasty--is that how you spell it?) :) and she is doing so very
well. Our Jessie is a fighter and a strong little girl--she is an
amazing 24 lbs (in the 90th percentile) and as chunky as they come,
which is great since it took so long to even diagnose her and by some
miracle she kept growing even when she was throwing up all the time.
She is our miracle baby, and I am excited to find yet one more
support group for me and my little girl. :)
