Hi - my name is Roberta Preston. I have two sons with CAH - Stephen age 7;
and Adam age 2 years old. I live in Alexandria, Virginia. I had never heard
of CAH before I had Stephen and it was obvious that the doctor didn't know
about it either and my son almost died at 5 weeks because of the stupidity
of the doctor!! It was a miracle that he made it. He had lost alot of
weight. From 8 pounds something to 5 pounds something. I had genetic
testing with my 2 year so I knew ahead of time that he had CAH. The tests
showed that I was carry of the gene and my husband was a carry of the gene
for CAH. They had 1 in 4 that they would have CAH.
