This is a group created for volunteers and paid personnel of the CERT (Community Emergency Response Team) / Homeland Security program throughout the United States. The national CERT program was created in response to 9/11/01, and, as some have observed, is an updated version of the Civil Defense program which was abandoned in the 1980's. This group was created to discuss various programs within the country, problems and successes experienced, and how to enhance our individual programs. Membership in this group will be unmonitored unless spam appears on the message board, which will cause new members and their posts to be temporarily monitored.
