I saw a show about suicide last night that I wanted to tell you all about. It is called Fierce Gooxdbye. When it arrived in the mail through Netflix, I hesitated to watch it - wishing to avoid stirring up painful feelings of grief and loss and regret.
The show was well done. It addressed the pain of the person lost to suicide and the loved ones left behind and focused on the positives - the strength and courage of survivors and those who are supporting them during their recovery. I recommend it.

Here is the blurb offered by Netflix:
"Folk singer Judy Collins hosts this program that offers guidance to those to have lost a family member, colleague, peer or acquaintance to suicide. Family survivors tell their stories, and Johns Hopkins University Professor of Psychiatry Dr. Kay Redfield Jamison provides expert insight into overcoming the pain and grief. The program explores how Protestant, Catholic, Jewish, and Greek Orthodox communities support their members in recovery."
