Hello All!!

What a beautiful day we had to get together. It made it a little easier to be there.

I just wanted to say, especially to my sister Pat, that some of the things mentioned yesterday could have seemed negative. I really believe that it is easier to talk about the funny things, even though they are usually the "off" things. Anyone that knew Brett and who's life was touched by Brett's knows he is a loving and caring spirit. He was always ready to councel you if you had a problem or needed someone to listen. He always was willing to lend a helping hand. About a month before Brett died, he came over and helped me put together this humongous desk I am sitting at right now... you know, one of those pieces of furniture that comes in a 200lb flat box! Well it took us about 5 hours from start to finish and we hadn't gotten to the hutch section yet. We had to call it quits at that point but he was ready and willing to come back the next day and help again. I'm so glad I bought this thing when I did and had that time with him... I wasn't really prepared for yesterday's ceremony or else I would have written something that someone else could have read. But, we all know how over-booked life is these days.. with a full time job and 4 grandchildren I'm not prepared for much anymore! Trime had asked us what would Brett have said if he was there yesterday and I know what some of those things would be . He would say, thank you Gramma Morris for making all of my favorite food.. Thank you Mom for always being there for me, you're still doing things for me and I'm not even around! Aunt Kathy, when can you get me in for a haircut.. (to Mitchell) Dude, you need to start working out, man... Melissa Poo Poo, what are you doing with Ralph, he talks more than I do! .. and Crystal, can't you keep your kid quiet!    Well these are my comments on yesterday and I will be looking forward to celebrating Brett's anniversary of his birth in June.
