hello again, my good friends,
now after the bone marrow biopsy they are telling my younger sister she has a
"rare type" of lymphoma. ( i am suspicious of doctors who use the word "rare",
just say a specific lymphoma is the common denominator of many other cancer
related symptoms in the lymph system ( i always hear about the risk of breast
cancer spreading to the lymph nodes? it is all relative, they think she has had
the mass in her sternum for ten years, and since it is a slow growing type she
probably has another ten years, but how depressing, ?I hope she gets a referral
to a specialist in lymphoma?
i wish she would go to brigham and womens in boston, but it is an all day trip?
Sen Arlen Specter, a long time meningioma survivor has some kind of lymphoma
too, it has crossed the mind of one other local general surgeon friend of mine a
few years ago, after he removed a suddenly irritating sore?lump deep in my upper
arm muscle that i might have lymphoma too...
they said my sister has CVID (common variant immune deficiency) could that be
related to MS? and or?fybromiligia sp? by any chance?? The blood test is called
IGG testing IGA and IGM?? Dr Spark Vance seemed interested in the possiblities
of immune deficiencies and other?issues of infection as potential weaknesses we
may inherit or be exposed to during our lifetime..
I prefer to think the family genes in me and my siblings contain something that
helps us resist the more aggressive faster growing forms of?cancer in the lymph
system, blood system and bones.??
Are there any doctors/nurses who might know more or where to look on google for
any other related articles in the online house night??

PS Why doesn't the date I sent this below appear like on some others I read?

Subject: meningiomas have some relation to other skin diseases like sarcoidosis
and NF2
http://patients.uptodate.com/topic.asp?file=cancer/10844#24
This seems like a good general overview of meningioma knowledge?approved by an
expert neurosurgen, Dr Peter Black from Boston and sent to me by a dear
meningimate Karen C, and i will be checking it again in March 2008.? It includes
interesting genetic tendency notes for my family to think about, because my
younger sister, 50 is being potentially diagnosed with sarcoidosis for an
undetermined large mass in her sternum bone, gall stones and kidney stones run
in my family, and another dear longterm meningimate had bony overgrowth in her
jawbone which may or may not have been related. I?didn't know about the bony
skull regrowth part of my meningioma at all, until 10 years post initial
surgical treatment.??
