hi! i am sorry you are in this situation. my 5 yr old daughter was dx may of 2001. she has a pediatric neurosurgeon, but for an adult i would recommend dr. joe maroon at allegheny hospital in pittsburgh, pa. if you don't want to travel that far he will definitely recommend a good neurosurgeon in your area. i think highly of dr maroon. we consulted him when my daughter was dx. but he doesn't do surgeries on children. he recommend my daughters neurosurgeon to us, who we think is great!!  dr. maroon is amazing w/ his skill. i wish you the best of health and happiness!! angelique parker
