I don't know exactly what role reflexes will play, but that is why I am taking additional training. Like I offered to Jaimee Lee---please feel free to write me in mid-June and ask about the reflexes.
I am VERY hesitant on the standing if they haven't gotten themselves neurologically ready. Crawling/creeping does teach a child to stay down, it develops their brain to stand up. Normal development leads from one step to the next---creeping leads to walking.
Again, please write to me in about a month---I think I may have some information for you.

My 4 yos is having the same problem. We are doing afo's (different ones for day and night) and lots of crawling and creeping but I think that the crawling and creeping just reinforces the feeling that he should be on the top of his foot. I am thinking about positioning him in a stand with feet correctly every 15 to 20 minutes for a couple of weeks. (We have several little helpers to take turns.) I wonder if he would begin to do it himself then. Maybe he just needs the frequency of feeling the weight on the bottom without shoes.?

Donna,My son has severe pronation of his feet and I've been to IAHP and countless docs, no one knows what cause it and what treatment would remedy his feet. IAHP said lots of crawling and creeping, well, we did that but didn't help a bit. Have you seen any kids with severe pronation feet and cause mobility problem?thanks for getting back so quickJaimee----- Original Message -----From: Donna BatemanSent: Thursday, May 15, 2008 8:42 AMSubject: Re: [B.I.Child] neurodevelopment programJaimie,
I checked just now and it appears www.childbrain.org is up and running. In response to your question, perhaps you are thinking of the reflex integration program through Svea Gold/Sally Goddard/INPP? If so, I would recommend you consider the Masgutova Method for reflexes. www.masgutovamethod.com
I trained at FHC and now have my own practice in the Dallas area and am always on the lookout and learning about what others are doing to help children. I think FHC's program is the best yet of any I've studied, but am certainly incorporating things that have proven effective. Just wanted to let you know my perspective.

Since brainchild.org has been down for a long time, does anyone remember there was one program mentioned other than IAHP and family hope center?![]()
